Thomas Schaaf's side have slid down the table in recent weeks with a series of disappointing results making qualifying for Europe only a distant possibility with just three games remaining.

No fewer than seven first-team players could be rested by the Bayern coach including Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez. Takashi Usami could therefore make his first start for the Bavarians while Nils Petersen could return to the fold for his first appearance since the 2-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in March.

• Werder Bremen have suffered a dramatic decline in their form since the winter break, winning just two games in 13 Bundesliga fixtures since the turn of the year.

Bayern Munich duo Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben were involved in a dressing room dust-up during the 2-1 Champions League semi-final victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday, Bildreports.

The Netherlands international was seen with a bruise on his face in the mixed zone after the first leg, and it is believed that his knock was the result of an altercation with his French team-mate at half-time.

Robben reportedly insisted that Toni Kroos take a free kick in the 44th minute, and the 22-year-old's effort hit the wall.

Ribery then left the pitch fuming and allegedly exchanged blows with his team-mate in the dressing room.

Questioned about the claims, Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes told reporters at a press conference: "In principle, I think that internal matters should remain internal.

"The dressing room is a sanctuary for the players. Everything is speculation, so I will not comment on it."

Bayern beat Madrid thanks to goals from Ribery and Mario Gomez either side of a Mesut Ozil strike. The Bavarians will visit Werder Bremen on Saturday before the return leg against Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 25.
